Based in our clients Norwich offices, you will perform hands on testing; writing test scripts, defect management and reporting in a clear and professional manner on test activity ensuring a consistently high level of quality and attention to detail.

Requirements for the Software Test Analyst, Quality Assurance role :

Required qualifications:
Degree Qualified
Full driving licence

Required skills and experience:
2 years+ QA testing experience in a software services environment
Experience of following a defined test strategy and approach
Successful delivery of at least two software related projects
Good working knowledge of the product development life cycle
Knowledge of at least one bug tracking system, TRAC, Redmine, Bugzilla etc
Experience of writing test scripts following industry standards
Ability to work and communicate with both technical and commercial colleagues
Excellent written English

Please Note - our client has specifically asked for candidates with 'manual' testing experience (as opposed to experience running automated testing processes).

Desired skills and experience:
Experience testing mobile apps including J2ME, iPhone, Android and Symbian
Experience testing payment systems

Ability to work off own initiative and also as part of a team
Able to cope under pressure of tight deadlines, without compromising quality

Specific Activities:

Testing:
Analysis and review of project requirement documents in order to create test scripts
Development of test scripts and regression test packs
Hands on functional, regression and operational testing for new, changed and upgraded mobile applications, websites and integrated systems
Defect management using the clients bug tracking system
Reporting progress and test results to required parties
Working closely with the development teams
Development of customer/user acceptance test scripts
Updating devices with new application versions for testing
Ensuring test cases are kept up-to-date with new releases
Specifying and preparing test data and environments in order to meet entry requirements identified within test plans
Contributing to control of test stock

Analysis:
Review project documentation to gain an understanding of how software will be implemented in order to create test scripts and carry out testing
Identify areas that require further test input/feedback

Documentation:
Producing QA review documents following analysis of documents
Producing documentation for the reporting of bugs, defects and quality issues in software projects
Create test cases, scripts and packs in accordance with company strategy
